Good Bones Homestead
Good Bones Homestead is pure Vermont: Set on a hill with forest trails out the front door, and a two acre meadow full of birds and bees. Downtown Brattleboro is 15 minutes away--a vibrant community of creative people, local food, art and music. We offer budget homestays for guests by the week or month.
The House
Welcome! You’ll be sharing this lovely home with the owner, her three cats, and possibly another guest or two. There is a chicken coop with ten hens, and fresh eggs are included with your stay. Here’s the layout:
Second floor: 2 guest bedrooms and a half-bath
First floor: Kitchen, dining room, three-season screened porch, living room, office/art studio, full bath.
Note that there is no television or cable here, but there is WiFi.
Guest access
All indoor and outdoor areas are available to you. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. The washer/dryer is available for limited use.
Winter visitors please note: It requires a 4WD vehicle to safely access the house in the winter and early spring (December through April).

Our 10-acre property features forest, meadows, gardens, orchards, yurts, a fire pit, a hammock, and a chicken coop. Woodland trails surround the property on all sides. All this is available for your enjoyment.

Common spaces are ample and cozy.




One guest bedroom and a private half-bath are available for your stay. Full bath and kitchen are shared with owner.
